living on grapes and blueberry shakes.

Heif has made his appearance, and, as per his eloquent suggestion, we shall now put this in our irony pipe, and smoke it: >>>up with sincerity>>>
No you can never doubt the power of giant furry animals dancing on stage. They will make you cry. With love.

THE SOUND THEY MADE WAS LOVE, LOVE, LOVE..[OR: I STOOD UP AND I SAID YEAH.]
MONDAY 1:22 PM / AUG 26, 2002
WAITING FOR HEIFERMAN... and chris...

Because they've got the photos from the day in the rain at Prospect Park where we heard the bands we loved, and we loved them in the rain. The rain was all there was, after the music, and perfectly wet it was, as were we.

And then we went to hear Luna, courtesy Lara, and she was hot! Hot pink!

A SWIFT SUNDAY ENTRY
SUNDAY 6:25 PM / AUG 25, 2002

Now, I answer some of your questions about the Swiffer Wet Jet floor-cleaning device.

Q: Dear Laura, why did you buy the Swiffer Wet Jet?
A: Because my floor was dirty.

Q: Dear Laura, Will this Swiffer Wet Jet really squirt cleansing solution onto the floor, in front of the moppy pad thing, as you swiftly mop it up, jet-like?
A: Yes.

Q: Did you ever notice that if you took the word cleaning, and if you added just one letter 's', you would have the word cleansing? And that the 2 are interchangeable?
A: Yes I did, just now, notice that.

Q: Does it feel weird to be installing 4 AA batteries into a plastic floor mop?
A: Yes.

Q: So, when you squirt the squirted floor-cleaning solution, is it possible that it will get sprayed right into the electrical outlets that are low enough on the wall?
A: Yes it is possible, and it will happen.

Q: Do you wish, Laura, that this spray solution —which is proprietary and only works on the Swiffer Wet Jet— didn't smell so stinky, and that it were a nature-based product?
A: Yes, I do wish that it didn't smell stinky. And that it were natural.

Q: Is there any reason for you to believe that the chemicals in this solution which sprays out of the Swiffer —powered by batteries— is not harmful to your kitties when it sprays into their food bowls which sit on the floor?
A: No.

Q: When you remove the diaper-like pad which is the spongy, soaky device which sits at the end of the Swiffer's mop-pole and acts as a pad to sponge up all the sprayed-on dirt from your floor, do you feel like you're removing a diaper from a tall skinny pole?
A: Yes. I do. A very dirty diaper, from a pole.

Q: What were you listening to while you Swiffer-wet-jetted your floor?
A: The flaming Lips' Soft Bulletin.

Q: What were you wearing while you did ...this.
A: A tan corduroy hat.

Q: Was your neighbor-to-the-rear's music too loud and too reggae-dubmission-beanie-manesque for you to really enjoy your own music?
A: yes, it was.

Q: Did you feel your floor was cleaner than it had ever been after you wet jetted it today?
A: No. I didn't.

Q: But, it felt cleaner than before you Swiffered it, right?
A: Indeed.

NO COFFEE YET
