...I also dreamt I was creating a magazine "for folks 25 and under". As if that were something we needed more of. In the dream we were thinking of changing the name from something I can't remember to
Quarter.
So the 25-yr-old demographic's pretty much taken care of, obsessed over even. And, as boomers grow older, no doubt we'll be seeing more blogs and 'zines specifically for their age group. hmmm...'
zines?
Ronni Bennett's already been blogging for the 'growing-older set' since august '03, first via her
fotolog, then moving out and into her own blog
+TimeGoesBy.net.
She recently wrote a spectacular post about the potential for
Daylo.com to become "
A Boon for Older Folks".
Ronni and I met when we were part of the small "start up" website cbsnews.com in '97... Our birthdays are 2 days apart and we shared an Ariesness. Which means what? We both like birthdays? (...I wonder if that's going to become less and less true. We've each had about 8 since then.) Well, clearly she's handling her accumulating years with grace and energy. Not sure about me and mine, yet.
To read
Time Goes By, subtitled "
What it's really like to get older", is to hear from a voice not typically heard in the blogosphere. Of course her readership is not a sparse demographic... and she's certainly not alone in blogging
from (but not just for) the 'growing older' perspective, but
Time Goes By rises beyond anything typical, thanks to Ronni's unique personal storytelling, which is interesting even beyond the tales of working in radio and TV alongside John and Yoko, Barbara Walters, Walter Kronkite...

In addition to her long list of links to "OLDER BLOGGERS" (over 50 links there), Ronnie recently linked to fellow 'growing older' blogger
+Old Horsetail Snake, who posts from his nursing home in Salem, Oregon. As someone who's 90+ year old grandmother recently just moved into a nursing home, I'm intrigued to hear from someone
on the inside. He has good style... a slight bit cranky, with a vital sense of humor. And funny drawings.

Still figuring out what
+ learningtoloveyoumore.com is, but pretty sure I like it.
